Hello Bruin Families,
Our first day of school is quickly approaching. On Tuesday, September 5th, we welcome our incoming 6th graders and new students to our district. The gate will open at 7:45. Breakfast will be served from 7:45 a.m. to 8:10 a.m. The bell for the class will ring at 8:11 a.m., and all students will be asked to join staff in the gym for an assembly. Students will be introduced to staff, and receive their schedules. We will stay in the gym together until 9:00 a.m.
At that time, students will follow their cohort teacher back to their classroom. Students will be provided time to get to know their teachers, schedule, and where their classrooms are located. Students will be issued their Chromebooks and lockers.
They can practice opening their lockers throughout the day with help as needed. We will have lunch together, and students will be released at 1:17 p.m. on Tuesday to go home for the day. All students will start on Wednesday the 6th, which is our normal short day schedule that releases students at 1:17. We are looking forward to a fantastic 23.24 school year.
