Free Student Sports Physicals Available Aug. 8 and 9

Coast Community Health will provide free sports physicals for Brookings-Harbor High School and Azalea Middle School students on Aug. 8 and 9th, 2022. This medical exam service will be available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on both days at Brookings-Harbor High School parking lot, 625 Pioneer Road, Brookings. (Parking lot access is from Easy Street).

As a reminder, before participating in practices or competitions, student-athletes must have the Family ID online registration completed and pass a physical exam. Students can complete the physical requirement at the free event on Aug. 8-9, or complete the pre-participation form at their primary provider's office and turn it at the school office. Physicals are valid for two years.

Students must pay a participation fee for each sport ($85 for high school students and $65 for middle school students). When these activities are completed, the athlete is issued a “Gold Card” from the school’s Athletics & Activities Secretary to present to your coach. If you need financial assistance, please discuss your situation with the athletics and activities secretary.

Fall season sports practices officially begin on Aug. 15th for BHHS. High School fall season athletics include Cross Country, Football, Soccer, Volleyball, and Cheer. Middle school fall season athletics opportunity details are shared after the start of the school year on Sept. 6th.
