6th grader Noah Speir headed to state GeoBee finals

On January 16, Azalea Middle School hosted its annual Geography Bee, where students answer increasingly challenging questions about world geography to determine a winner.

We are very proud of 6th grader Noah Speir, who not only won our local school competition but qualified for the statewide contest. Noah will travel to the National Geographic Geo Bee State Competition Friday, March 29, at Western Oregon University in Monmouth.

There, he will compete for a top prize of $1000 and a trip to Washington, D.C. for the National Championship.

We love our student's curiosity about the world and quest for knowledge. Please join all of us here at AMS in wishing Noah well as he represents us at State!
